Job Description:
The P/T Library Clerk performs general duties related to the circulation of library materials using the Alma library management system (i.e. checking in and out materials, processing holds, renewals, billing, and other library user requests). Other responsibilities include shelving and organizing materials, and assisting users in the use of library equipment. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Possession of a high school/equivalency diploma and one year of general clerical experience. (The satisfactory completion of 30 credits at a recognized college or business school may be substituted for the one year of experience.) Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Office, e-mail management and data entry). Other requirements include customer service skills, the ability to multitask, written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail. Physical conditions are commensurate with the demands of the position, including standing, bending and lifting.
Additional Information:
POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
WORK SCHEDULE: 28 hours per week maximum. Two (2) week nights: 5:00 pm-9:30 pm (Monday - Thursday) and alternate weekends, Saturdays: 9 am-5 pm and Sundays: 1 pm-4 pm are required.
SALARY & BENEFITS: $15.10 per hour. No benefits.
